The "Daily Bizarre" Survey

How to search for information

This is five useful tips when searching for information:

1) Don't include common words in your searches like "and" and "the".
2) Put quotes around words you want to "stick together" in search.
3) Put a plus symbol when you don't want something.
4) Put in minus symbol when you want search engine to include.
5) Be specific about what you want the search engine to find.

You have to be careful when searching for information because they might give you the wrong information or spoof information.

Public Information System

A Public Information System is a system designed to present information to the public or large audience all at the same time.
These systems make use of large display technology such as bill-board sized LED displays and networked display monitors.

      For example:

     - In airports, presenting the arrival and departure information on monitors and electronic boards is essential for the smooth operation of the airport.

     - Train stations also need this information.

-Sometimes major sport events and public gatherings will make use of public information systems.

-Motorways have gantry displays for the latest situation or speed restrictions.

Why is it important that the information is up-to-date?

These systems need to be easy to update and maintain to ensure that the public is viewing the most recent information.
